CRIPPS BARN WEDDING VIDEO /// AMY & WILL

Cripps Barn Wedding Video, Amy & Will.

I’ve been fortunate enough to film at a number of the Cripps & Co. Barns over the years, including Shustoke Barn and my local Hazel Gap, and I always enjoy my bookings there, the venues are great and the staff team are always super organised and friendly. Amy and Will got married at Cripps Barn in Gloucestershire, and it was my first visit to the original Cripps venue in the Cotswolds.

One of my favourite things about Cripps Barn was the window in the ceremony room. The light shone on Amy and Will while they were saying their vows, providing some natural illumination. Really making them stand out in the frame. The couple are the most important people on their wedding day, so for them to stand out is only right! If you’ve read some of my previous blog posts, you’ll already know how I feel about natural light… At bridal prep too, we got some amazing shots after turning the lights off and opening the curtains. If the conditions are right, it’s always a bonus!

Conditions aren’t always perfect, though; it was a bit of a wet and wild day, and we got rained inside in the afternoon. We agreed to postpone the couple shoot until after a heavy rain shower had passed, so we could still shoot outside. I am partial to a moody sky, and as you can see in the highlight film below, it was worth the wait.

Amy and Will’s wedding was a musical treat as well. Two of their friends composed and sung a song for them, and Amy walked down the aisle to a piano piece played by her new father-in-law. I’ve included both in the highlight film, as these personal touches really help to illustrate the story of their day.
