Stacey & Stew got married in December last year and they had me along to film the day. We certainly lucked out with the weather as the sun shone all day.
I arrived nice and early at bridal prep to capture some great details and preparation shots. I always love filming bridal prep as it's a nice relaxed part of the day when I can say hello to everyone and I'm always going to get some great shots recorded to my cards. Great insurance if the weather or timings are not on our side later in the day. That wasn't the case with Stacey & Stew's day and we were blessed with winter sun all day!
The ceremony went by in a flash, with a very accommodating vicar. Always helpful when everyone is on the same page to make the best video for the couple! There was a bit of a drive from the church to Shustoke Farm Barns but we made it in time to capture the last few minutes of sun with the couple. I do love sunsets at a wedding, they make everything feel so cinematic.
The rest of the day flew by, with the speeches, cake cutting, and first dance. I like to stay that little extra time to get some shots of everyone enjoying themselves on the dancefloor before heading home, it always adds to the party atmosphere and gives the highlight film a proper beginning, middle, and end structure. I wasn't let down by a lack of dancing and got some great shots.
Stacey & Stew were always up for grabbing some shots throughout the day and I had no shortage of awesome couple shots to sprinkle over their highlight video.
I worked alongside HBA photography, who's pictures of the day you can find here:
Ben and his team were nice and laid back and a pleasure to work with.
